Le Weekend: Bromont

Le Weekend: Bromont

bromont.jpg

We spent a relaxing weekend in the ski town of Bromont, Quebec, filled with long walks with the dogs, comfort food and wine, and dips in the 'spa' (french for hot tub). We also had a few unexpected surprises, like a face to face session with alpacas (yes!) and a cross-bow show and tell. While it wasn't quite ski weather, we were happy to see snow in abundance, after an unseasonably warm winter. And at dusk the country side took on the appearance of a watercolour painting, aglow with deep purples and smoky greys.

If you ever find yourself in the area stop by:
• Les David et Goliath for filet mignon
• An Alpaca farm for a cuddle and a soft scarf
• A skate around Lake Boivin (in Granby)
• A fancy coffee at Madame Hortense's old fashioned cafe.

A big thank you to our hosts, Julie and her family.
