The Ultimate Swing
Ever since I was a kid I've been crazy about swings. Probably crazy is the right word since I'd always kick a little too hard and swing a little too high. The wooden frame would squeak wildly and someone nearby would gasp. I loved that. Or I'd spread my arms and spin in circles recklessly until I fell down on the grass. Once in a while I let that kid out to play. Like at the top of the CN Tower's Skywalk or on the zip line over the Monteverde rainforest.
So when I spotted this on the (always awesome) Atlas Obscura my heart skipped a little: The swing at the edge of the world in the wilderness of Ecuador. No safety clips or harnesses, just you and the mountain and a breathtaking view of Mt. Tungurahua volcano. I wouldn't be able to resist... Would you?
*UPDATE* I made it there in 2015. Wanna see?
