After the USSR, Finland was a cultural shock! Probably exaggerated intentionally to underline the differences between the East and the West.
A guest post by my father, Aleksandar: "In 1974, I returned home to Yugoslavia from my life-changing trip to India. When all the excitement and stories settled, my father Slobodan started behaving very strangely."
"In 1966 I lived with my family in Beograd, then the capital of Yugoslavia. Two years earlier my father purchased our first car—a Fiat Zastava 600. Our minds immediately turned to road trips."

This is the story of my great grandmother and a trip she took not for pleasure, but for survival.
"A trip, like life, lasts for a time. It has a beginning and end, its ups and downs, good and bad days."
"We used trains, buses, taxis, cars and on a few occasions even walked those 12,000 km separating Serbia and end point of our trip, Nepal. This adventurous journey turned out to be life changing experience.
